Zotarolimus is an analogue of everolimus of which it shares the properties. It is used in medical device, incorporated in stents. The stents impregnated with zotarolimus obtained the FDA approval.
A clinical trial published in the NEJM July 8, 2010 comparing stents with everolimus and stents with zotarolimus, shows that both give quite similar results.
