Polidocanol, Asclera*, to treat small varicose veins

Polidocanol, also known as macrogol, lauromacrogol, is a polymer whose molecular weight is about 600, used locally by intravenous route for sclerosing varicose veins. It is marketed in the USA as Asclera*, in France as Aétoxisclérol* and in other countries as Aethoxisklerol*.
He was also proposed as local anesthetic and antipruritic.
