Quizz # : 138   Author : Pierre Allain

Three drugs A, B and C have the same bioavailability, the same plasma half-life and the same volume of distribution. The rate of intestinal absorption of A is faster than that of B which is itself faster than that of C. They are administered separately by oral route at equal doses. Their plasma concentrations are measured at regular intervals of time. Their concentration/time curves are plotted.:
A  Tmax (time at which the maximum concentration is obtained, Cmax) of A is more precocious than that of B
B  The Cmax of B is higher than that of C
C  The Cmax of A is lower than that of B
D  The area under curve of A, B and C are approximately identical
E  The plasma half-life of A is shorter than that of B
