Estroprogestative combinations
The combination of an estrogen and of a progestin is used in two principal indications: as substitutive treatment and as a contraceptive.
The estrogen used in the combination is estradiol or ethinylestradiol and the progestin one of the many compounds available.
The quantity of estrogen and progestin present in the tablets of the same proprietary preparation can be constant or different, changing to reproduce the variations of the hormonal cycle.
